Where do you start? First you need to determine what finish is on the furniture you are going to paint. Click on this link http://cottagepaint.com/useful-info/
Then you need to prep your piece. The easiest way to prep is to use our Cottage Paint cleaner, which easily removes wax and oily film. Spray onto the surface, leave for 1 minute, then wipe clean with a soft rag. Let dry overnight. Surface you are painting must be sealed and sound. If there are dents & chips, use a wood filler, sand filler when dry, then spot prime with Cottage Paint primer. Now that you have cleaned and prepped your surface, you are ready to paint. There are 3 types of Cottage Paint: Cottage Paint, Serenity, and Urban. This video explains the different types of Cottage Paint: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4-6c1BiFNA&feature=youtu.be |
